Microsoft Clarity provides heatmaps and session recordings based on website activity. Its official site presents it as a free analytics product. A Heatpoints prediction does not reproduce that dataset or those recordings.

When to consider Microsoft Clarity
Use Clarity when you need evidence of how visitors interact with a running website. Check installation, configuration, consent and retention requirements for your site. The fact that a tool is free does not make those operational questions disappear.
When Heatpoints fits
Use Heatpoints for a draft or a screenshot when you want to discuss visual hierarchy before collecting traffic. Its Chrome overlay analyses the current visible tab, including signed-in pages, and sends the capture to the server. It is not a recording of other users' browsing.
Initial free access has usage limits. Chrome asks for email verification after the initial scans. Pro is coming soon. Check the current allowance in the product; this comparison does not promise unlimited analysis.

Compare a real task, not just a score
Choose a representative image and write down what should attract attention before running either tool. Keep dimensions, crop and page state consistent. Inspect whether the result answers your question and whether you can explain it to the person making the design decision.
